Nell's

at Swiftcurrent Motor Inn
Dining Room Manager ~ Summer 2026

Fresh, bright, and deeply rooted in its landscape, this is a homecoming plate served at the edge of Many Glacier Valley.

Here at our historic motor inn, guests arrive dusty from the trail and hungry for warmth. I am building a dining room that serves as a refuge. Through seamless service, a genuinely caring team, and an atmosphere that honors the wild beauty outside, we create a sanctuary for travelers.

This story is still being written as the season unfolds.

Ptarmigan Room

at Many Glacier Hotel
Restaurant Manager ~ Summer 2018

A full-bodied leadership experience. Notes of open communication and an ownership finish.

I returned to Many Glacier as the General Manager of a high-volume dining room. Sixty team members strong. Together, we fostered a culture where every server and support staff felt heard. They felt truly invested.

The results came naturally. Staff turnover dropped significantly below seasonal averages. All KPIs and sales targets were seamlessly achieved. Best of all, we earned guest comment cards that glowed with genuine appreciation.

The Inn

at The Oasis in Death Valley
Restaurant Manager ~ 2015-2017

Desert-aged resilience. Slow-braised in extreme conditions. Served with cross-trained teams and supply chain forethought.

I managed a team of over forty staff in one of America's hottest, most isolated resorts. We built a crew that could flex effortlessly. Front-of-house and back-of-house blending together seamlessly during intense rushes. We engineered inventory systems that anticipated delays, choosing to forecast rather than just react.

The performance followed. Sales targets were consistently exceeded while keeping tight, disciplined cost controls. Turnover stayed low. This is living proof that remote never has to mean unreliable.
